DESCRIPTION :

At first sight, the architecture seems confusing. Is it a shoe, a spaceship, a wine tank? If you look closer, you'll see the shape of a dekanter, a wine pitcher used to develop its flavor and smell. This temple will introduce you to French and international wine, along the permanent path, where you can discover how wine is made, how to taste it, smell it, and enjoy it, what are the compoants of smell, the wine throughout the centuries and cultures.

INCLUDED:

Purchasing a 20€ ticket will get you to the permanent path, and a complimentary tasting at the 8th floor deck. Students and children under 18 get a 4€ discount.

IMPORTANT :

You may purchase your ticket directly by the entrance. However, we recommend that you purchase your tickets in advance on the Cité du Vin website. If you choose to use your Bordeaux City Pass, the visit has to start before noon.

OUR TIPS :

Allow 3 hours to enjoy the museum thoroughly, even more if you plan to visit one of the temporary exhibition. A restaurant is located at the 7th floor. We highly recommend to book your table in advance!
